WHY IS MUSIC SO IMPORTANT IN ANIMATION? – I’M STILL STANDING (SING)

4th year CSE students continue the project entitled ‘Why Music is so Important in Animation?’ in order to enhance the value of music in animated movies. The main objective of this activity is to analyse the lyrics and discover the moral that songwriters wanted to transmit, why the songs are performed in a specific moment in these movies, and so on. All the songs selected have been award winners and and have been chosen for their valuable messages.

In our sixth and last instalment, we will talk about the song I’m still standing
from the movie SING, composed and written by Elton John in 1983.

Sing is a 2016 American computer-animated musical comedy film produced by Illumination Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures.

Johnny. A sad gorilla, tormented by his father in prison. He has always wanted to be a singer but his father wanted him to follow his example as a robber.
