Thanksgiving is an American holiday which is celebrated the 4th Thursday of November. The story tells that in 1620, pilgrims came to America to escape religious persecution and the Indians helped them to find food.
On thanksgiving, American people say thank you for the food they have and families have a big dinner all together. On that day, there are also big parades in many cities. Furthermore, families watch football matches on TV or go to stadiums.
Thanksgiving’s day is the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.
