4th year CSE students continue the project entitled ‘Why Music is so Important in Animation?’ in order to enhance the value of music in animated movies. The main objective of this activity is to analyse the lyrics and discover the moral that songwriters wanted to transmit, why the songs are performed in a specific moment in these movies, and so on. All the songs selected have been award winners and and have been chosen for their valuable messages.
In our fourth instalment, we are talking about Touch the Sky,
the original soundtrack of Disney’s animated movie Brave.
Brave is the soundtrack to the 2012 Disney-Pixar film of the same
name composed by Patrick Doyle and performed by the London Symphony
Orchestra.
Touch the Sky is played when Merida leaves the castle and rides her horse
Angus through the forest, shooting arrows, climbing tall cliffs and then
returning home.
Let’s listen to what the students say about the importance of this song and the moment in which it is used in the movie.
