PortrayMe! Episodio 9:  Daniele da Volterra’s Portrait of Michelangelo Buonarroti.

What is PortrayMe!? Let the protagonists speak.

PortrayMe! is an interdisciplinary project in which 3rd and 4th year CSE students will create their own podcasts after some work on the topic.

They were all given a quite famous portrait of a real or imaginary person, couples or group portrayals. With the only source of the painting, the author, the location and the date of composition, students had to create a monologue where they would recreate a passage in these people’s lives. No matter what they chose to make up; the most important fact was to be creative basing your work on real events.

Portrait of Michelangelo Buonarroti by Daniele da Volterra, (1545).

Apart from the use of the English language, pupils had to arrange their own version of the portrait using some apps to modify the original.

We all hope you will enjoy the project and value the effort we made to fulfil it.

Thanks for listening!
